Masjid E Madani ("we", "us", "our") is a mosque and education centre serving the community of Dewsbury Moor and the surrounding areas. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use our website and mobile app.

Donations: when you donate, our payment provider (Stripe) collects your name, email address and payment details to process the payment. We receive your name, email, donation amount and whether you consented to Gift Aid — we never see or store your card numbers.

Gift Aid: if you choose to add Gift Aid, we record your consent and the details needed to submit a Gift Aid claim to HMRC.

Donor wall: if you donate and do not choose to remain anonymous, your first name and donation amount may be shown on our public donor wall. You can choose to appear as "Anonymous".

Prayer time and app notifications: if you allow notifications in our app, your device token is stored so we can send prayer-time and announcement notifications. This token is not linked to your name.

Contact: if you contact us by email or phone, we keep your message and contact details so we can respond.

To process donations and send receipts.

To submit Gift Aid claims to HMRC where you have consented.

To send prayer-time reminders and mosque announcements you have opted into.

To keep records required for charity accounting and auditing.

To respond to your enquiries.

We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for marketing.

Stripe processes card payments on our behalf under its own privacy policy.

Firebase (Google) delivers app notifications and stores device tokens.

These providers only process data as needed to provide their services to us.

Donation and Gift Aid records are kept for as long as required by UK charity and tax law (normally at least 6 years). Notification tokens are kept until you uninstall the app or turn off notifications.
