Our story
A legacy of faith. A future of knowledge.
For over two decades, Masjid-E-Madani has served as a place of worship, learning and community support for Muslims in Dewsbury Moor and the surrounding areas.
What began as a small converted shop has grown into a centre where hundreds gather for prayer and young people learn the Qur’an and Islamic values.

Many former students now lead Taraweeh prayers across the UK and beyond. Alongside education and worship, food-bank distributions, litter picks and charity challenges have united our community in service.

Our journey
From humble beginnings to a growing community
- 2001
Mohaddis-E-Azam Mission was established under the spiritual guidance of Huzoor Shaikhul Islam Saiyed Mohammed Madani Ashrafi-Ul-Jilani, beginning in a small converted shop.
- 2005
An off-licence shop was purchased and converted into a mosque and education centre.
- 2007
Masjid-E-Madani & Mohaddis-E-Azam Education Centre opened for daily prayers and madrasah classes, with the neighbouring shop purchased for expansion.
- 2016
A neighbouring property was acquired, supported by community fundraising including the Snowdon Charity Challenge.
- 2017
Neighbouring land was purchased to provide a car park for the growing congregation.
- Today
We are working towards a complete £1.5 million redevelopment into a modern, purpose-built mosque and Islamic education centre.
